i wouldn't say dead, but its definitely has drama bts with different groups/clans fighting.
but there are also others that try to ignore the quarells and focus on their animations and whatever.

@Akikazu its really just childish arguements like, "who's the better animator", bullying newer members of the community, "who's copying who", alot of things that can be resolved rather than throwing insults back and forth.

Newgrounds is pretty dead itself. I occasionally come back for a trip down memory lane and to cringe at my younger self and I assume that's what most do too. Should you go back to animating madness? Sure, although the community is definitely a shadow of its former self.
